Hi all! I’m trying to get my save the date photos out. My engagement session price did not include any digital prints and to get the prints on a cd, there is only an option to get all the high res on a cd or all the low res on a cd and as you can imagine, buying the high res cd is going to be way out of my price range so I was thinking of buying the low res so I can have all the pics to decide which one to use for the invite. Has anyone used low res images for their save the dates? I dont want the save the dates to look crappy but they also don’t have to look super highly defined either…any thoughts would be appreciated.

Can the photographer sell you 1 or 2 digital files? Ask your graphic designer which one would work best for the save the dates… then ask your photographer if he/she can sell you the digital negatives.
Low resolution files will NOT work, they will be pixelated.

Even if you didn’t pay for your enagement pictures to be put on a CD, they should still exsist in a downloadable form. Unless you do not have any rights to your images in your package. Unfortunatly, if that is the case the low res images will not work for print. You’re better off having save the dates without photographs on them.

It depends on how low res the low res files are. They might be fine for Save-The-Date Cards but not for a big print
