Aren’t they just going to end up in the bin?

Well done on the effort but it just seems like the time and money to mail could hardly be worth it.

Not sure about anyone else, but I read the bee on my phone. Your formatting is straining to wade through. You might want to edit that.

Are they supposed to be Christmas ornaments? I wasn’t sure what the first picture was, but I thought maybe the second was supposed to be an ornament?

And wow… just… wow! Over $1,080 in shipping charges alone? And just for STDs? And that doesn’t include any of your boxes, ribbon, the cost of the ornaments themselves and the fees for the laser cutting set up, etc.

Glad you are happy with them.

Out of curiosity, what is your total wedding budget?

Wow I see what you mean about mountain! They came out really well, and I’m really sorry to be a Debbie Downer but I have to say – please reconsider the material you use for your invites. I’m sure you’re well aware that most of these will be thrown away, and we should be moving away from plastic disposal. I know that’s not what you wanted to hear but I couldn’t leave this thread without saying something.

WOW! Holy third world problems! Speechless. But I can’t stop staring. This is seriously front page of the internet material 😛

nikbee :  Very nice. You clearly have more time and money than me. And space. This is way too much work for an optional pre-invitation that’s going to be thrown away. I don’t scrapbook or knit either though, I’m kinda lazy. Sounds like you are not, and that it was fun.

Op, this is fantastic. If I received an invite like this it would be the topic of the day. I would really appreciate the amount of work, love and effort that went into making these.

Sure, it might go in the bin someday, but so does everything else. Hell, even paper invites do.

Don’t listen to the other bees. They WISH their save the date was as beautiful as yours. I’m smelling some jealousy here.

Do what makes you happy. If you have the means and can afford it without taking out a second mortgage, why not. It’s not like like you’re stealing the material or money from a sick kids lemonade stand.

I never understand this fascination from strangers about other peoples finances and how they choose to spend their money.

You only live once. Keep doing what you love, op.

You have set a lofty precedent if these are your STD’s!

Personally, I think they look beautiful, although I feel ill on your behalf for the shipping costs!

nikbee :  I think they’re super cool! Very creative! I’m not sure what the first photo is, though. I have acrylic lamps that I love, so I dig your vision.
