We are asking our closest friends/family to travel from New York to Italy for our wedding next year and to thank them for considering such a trip, I want our save-the-dates to be real leather luggage tags that they can actually use whether or not they attend our wedding. I got some prices from different stationary/paper people who have created something like this, but the quotes were very unreasonable after I looked into the individual items.
My idea is a plain luggage tag with our save the date information in the little window (I’ll have the original behind it so people can use it). I found the tags I’d like: they are 2″ x 3 3/4″ with an 8″ strap (that I will fold in half). I also found various websites where I can get the boxes to ship them in in bulk – I am thinking I’ll get 6″ L x 4″ W x 2″ D tucktop mailer boxes from PaperMart – these: https://www.papermart.com/p/tuck-top-corrugated-mailing-boxes/1172?searchitemnumber=073250
My question is… does anyone know how to bulk print labels? I looked into it and it seems USPS is the best option for items under 13 oz, which these are. I know when I go to USPS, they usually print the label ON the sticker where they scan, which could save me a ton of time writing (I don’t mind typing all the addresses), but cannot figure out how to go about doing so in bulk. Ideally I’d like to type them all into whatever website and then just print the labels with the addresses on them and drop them at the post office to ship without waiting in line etc. I have come to terms with the shipping price, so don’t judge me please! I want this to be special as I think my family thinks an Italian wedding is presumptious.
Does anyone have any insight on shipping?!? Or perhaps other bulk shipping options?
I am open to any/all ideas and really appreciate the help!
