@legenwaitforitdary:  Maybe a zit? I sometimes get cystic acne under my chin and jawline. It doesn’t sound like it’s in a location where it would be a lymph node, and your thyroid is a bit lower on your neck. Just don’t fiddle with it – if it’s still there by the end of the weekend, I’d suggest having a doctor check it out.

Could be a cyst. I’ve had one, about pea sized, on my arm for years.

I agree with PP. if its still there in a few days, see a doctor. See one sooner if it gets bigger

It could be a cyst, I’ve had that happen before. However, we aren’t doctors so I think it’d be best if you went into urgent care or your primary care doc to get it checked out. 🙂 Good luck!

Could be a cyst or cystic acne.

Is it in the dirct middle? There is a lymph node there. I find that it can get swollen if I’m fighting a cold or something.

I have absolutely no medical training, so I can’t advise what to do, but I have had swollen lymph node in that area before and haven’t been sick. I’d like to think that my immune system is probaly fighting off infection and only when it loses that I actually get sick LOL!

Sounds like a swollen lymph node, try massaging under your chin encouraging the fluid to drain down toward your neck. You should notice a decrease in size after doing this.

It probably means that you are fighting some sort of infection.

I would keep an eye on it and if it is still swollen in about 3-5 days I would go see a doctor

@Glasgowbound:  + 100 if an untreated cyst grows it can become infected and turn into a boil (unsightly, possiblity of scar tissue, may have to be drained by doc). Resist the urge to press on it. If it gets bigger see your doctor.
