For me and my crew: when in doubt we order chinese! It’s simple, everyone can find something the like to eat, and it’s a cheap and easy way to create a buffet 🙂

webee2 :  I did platters from a local restaurant that delivered and had them deliver to the salon where we were getting ready. I’ve used Whole Foods a bunch of times in the past for lunch platters and they have lots of yummy options. I think that would owrk perfectly.

We ordered room service at the hotel we were at.  I think a couple platters would be great!  Make it something easy to eat with makeup — sandwiches might be tough with lipstick, unless they can easily reapply!

webee2 :  You can always get around that by providing toothpicks 🙂

Walmart has the BEST party subs. We did that and it was an easy lunch along with chips and cookies.

We wanted easy to eat food that wouldn’t spill or cause a mess. So we got a ton of cold cuts, a bunch of different types of sliced cheese, fruit and veggie platters and bread/buns. People could mix and match whatever they wanted to eat. Make sure you have lots available to drink! I was sooo thirsty before the ceremony.

Chinese sounds a lot riskier than sandwiches, IMO. Your Whole Foods platter sounds like a really great option.

When my FH’s roommate got married, I wasn’t as close with the bride so I stayed home with the guys and made them sandwiches for lunch–they had forgotten all about lunch and would have been pretty drunk for the ceremony if I hadn’t been chasing them around with ham sandwiches in between ironing their shirts all morning… make sure someone responsible is taking care of your guys!
