Fiance and I are paying for the honeymoon on our own, so we are on a budget. We really wanted something AI that we can relax and enjoy.
We stumbled upon Luxury Link and the prices are fantastic, but is it too good to be true? It kinda makes me weary and I feel that it may be safer booking through Expedia or the resort itself.

*Sigh* I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I would avoid them.
I found Luxury Link last year and was enthralled – the prices look great and it seems upscale. We actually booked our honeymoon through them at Secrets Maroma, excited for the luxurious suite pictured in the room listing. Because I was out of work with a broken arm, I had a lot of time to dream about the honeymoon, and it was only by luck that I ended up discovering that the room type specifically pictured in the listing was not the one we booked – the room we booked didn’t have a hottub on the balcony – one of the main reasons we chose it. My fiance took a few screenshots of the listing (which also had text indicating a hottub), and then I called Luxury Link to try to figure out what room we’d be getting.
The customer service was absolutely terrible. They were rude to me, repeatedly cutting me off and speaking to me condescendingly. They even have the gall to LIE to me about the listing, saying it never pictured a hottub on the balcony, and I must “just be confused.” When I explained that I had screenshots that very clearly showed otherwise, they went from rude to hostile (I was speaking with a manager at this point, mind you). I was not demanding anything unreasonable, simply that we receive the room we had booked and paid for. They refused to accept responsibility, told me that I didn’t know the difference between a hottub and a jacuzzi, tried to shift the blame to the resort (“they send over the pictures – we have no control over what they send.” [oh REALLY???]), and were just generally dicks to me.
I ended up demanding a refund, and we purchased our honeymoon through CheapCaribbean.com. The customer service thus far has been great, the prices MUCH better, and they have deals for many of the same properties as Luxury Link.

Hm, while I have not personally booked with Luxury Link I did speak with another bee who had and recommended it…although she did caution that you need to read the fine print very, very closely.
I can recommend Jetsetter, though which has a similar concept of discount luxury locations. I found their customer service to be excellent.
