So I love some of these designs:
but I noticed that they are all made from Lycra! I thought lycra was for swimsuits and workout pants…
Any thoughts on this? I can’t imagine what a Lycra dress would feel like.

@kt235021: Is Lycra basically like a jersey material? Kind of like the maxi dresses that have been popular lately? That’s what I’m imagining over here. Sounds super comfortable!

@pengoala: Lycra is Dupont’s brand name for Spandex.
OP, it depends on what it’s blended with since lycra tends to take on the feel of the dominant fabric fibers. If it’s cotton, you can get away with it, if it’s poly, don’t do it. It’ll give off a shiny cast in photos and you’ll be sweating like crazy.

@atlbride2013: oh say what? A spandex wedding dress? Hmm, okay nevermind. Yeah, that seems weird to me too.

@kt235021: They look comfy, but that material doesnt look like it would be very flattering. Looks like it would show every lump and curve.

I think you’re all right about it probably not being a good idea…especially in August. Darn. I really like the designs and it’s hard to find simple yet boho like these!

@kt235021: you should write her a message asking if she could custom make a dress with a different fabric! i find etsy sellers are SUPER accomodating! it can’t hurt!
