Yep. Tried for 3 and a half years before I started doing this. Actually, hips on a pillow, legs resting against a wall for at least 30 minutes after. Got pregnant within 2 months after starting this. I have a tilted uterus, endometriosis, inhospitable mucous and my husband had a low count with many deformed sperm. Doctors told us there was little chance. Tho, maybe I just finally got lucky. Back in the days before IVF was even a thing, really. It actually worked twice, as I have 2 biological children and tried this both times.

So, funny story. My friend/boss at the time had been trying to get pregnant for literally YEARS. They had started looking into IVF as a last resort. She was so distraught! So we start discussing it further “in depth” and she revealed that every time as soon as it was over, she would get up and go pee. Every. Single. Time. Being half serious/half sarcastic I told her to lay there and let it “soak in” 😂 and I shit you not, a month later she found out she was pregnant. She now has not one, not two, but THREE boys.
I don’t know if the theory holds water, but it would be an awfully big coincidence if not!

sometimes I’d do it and other times I’d just get up to pee. I heard that the force of ejaculation gets the sperm where it needs to be so laying down after shouldn’t help or hurt your chances in any way.

Maybe for a few minutes just to relax and stretch. Nothing intentional.

I always do! I lay there 30 minutes to an hour. I’ve never had a UTI so Im not worried about that.

From what I’ve been told it cant hurt. When I did iui they had me lay down for 15 minutes afterwards not to keep the sperm in but for gravity to do its job to hopefully help the sperm swim towards the egg. I had to have a full bladder and I never got a uti! Obviously plenty of women get pregnant without doing it so I dont think you have to but it cant hurt!
