Whether she’s paying or not she has no say. We registered for the traditional things but someone bought us a switch for our wedding. We enjoy gaming, it’s something we have in common with the person who bought it for us and it’s more personal than the sheets and plates that we felt we had to register for. We are super grateful and have used it heaps.

And I wish I’d thought to register for board games for what it’s worth. We have a pretty big collection and they’re great for when we have people over or just for when we’re looking for something to do together.

Tell your mother in law to butt out – bc it isn’t her place to say what can & what can’t be added to your registry. I see absolutely nothing wrong w/ having board games. I wouldn’t pay no attention to her bc it isn’t her bridal shower or wedding!
