I’m starting to get into Mac cosmetics and I wanted to know what some of your favorite products/shades are from their lines. What’s works and what to save my money on. The closest counter is 1.5 hour or so away so I’m stuck with the web for now. Would love to hear everything you guys love to use!
Thanks in advance! 🙂

Their eyeshadow is pretty great, and really well priced. So many colors, ranging from neutral to crazy! I also like their Mineralize skin finish powder.

I love my Mac products!! I will check the names of my favorites when I get home 🙂

From MAC I love their Studio Fix foundation, BB cream, and brush #187. For mascara I don’t use MAC I use Lancome Hypnose (Custom Volume)

Lipsticks are my FAVORITE Mac product! They literally are the best! MAC Red, Candy Yum Yum, Dark side, Flamingo, those are some of go-tos. I also like their eyeshadows, and their foundation. (it’s strong enough to cover everything).

Its funny because people always say MAC foundation makes them break out but I actually have oily skin and ive never ever had a problem with it. Not to mention I was using studio sculpt which is heavy but amazing. I worked in cosmetics so I’ve tried a ton of brands and never had a problem with MAC. They have great blushes and I recently started using their mascara. I’ve tried a few of theirs and this is the only one I’ve had any luck with as far as clumping and drying up. I forget what it’s called but it’s the one with the pink and purple cap that allows you to do more natural or dramatic lashes. I also really like their fake eyelashes and makeup remover wipes.

I loooove their lipsticks, but that’s about it

Yeah! Every review I’ve read on various foundations I saw a lot of people complaining about being broken out. I’ve never had any issue with any foundations I’ve tried in the pas but will def check out studio sculpt!
I have their pro longwear concealer ordered, a blush in tenderling, and the skin finish powder. LOVE!
I want to get their lipstick ‘cherish’ next which seems to be raved about for a nice nude-y color and the mac paint pot in painterly.
The eye shadows look so overwhelming since theres toooons. I just like a nice natural eye. I’ve read naked lunch is a nice shade?

I love MAC and I feel like it last so long and is so worth the money. I Love a good brown smokey eye. I use naked also and Mylar , white frost , tempting , Brule, woodwinked are some off the top of my head. I also love the prolong wear foundation and I don’t think it makes me break out either And I love the coverage. I’m more of a lip gloss person and the plush glass stuff is great It’s a little lip plumping in it. I love the shade push it up. I love MAC haha that’s my little rant !

Agreed. I use concealear almost everyday and I had mine for over two years. A little goes a long way with Mac (unless it’s lipsticks because I go through them like candy).
OP, I love their foundations, concelear, brushes, and lipsticks.

For natural eye shadow colors brulee and shroom are two really popular ones, as well as wedge, all that glitters, and woodwinked. I also love their eyeliner in Teddy- it’s a pretty soft brown.

I love the Russian Red lipstick because it’s a classic red lipstick and doesn’t have that orange undertone that most red lipsticks have.
As far as eyeshadow I would recommend Carbon because it’s great for a dramatic smokey eye or doing a smudgey/soft eyeliner, Honey Lust because it’s just an amazing gold glitter/shimmer, and Trax and Club because they’re both really great colors on their own but they can also be layered over the crazier colors (Club and Electric Eel look great together layered) to make different/softer colors.

that concealer makes me look way better! Haha. I think I only end up buying it like Once a year !
I like wedge also! I’m not home so that’s all I can remember off my head. haha I have about two pallets full at home. 🙂

I bought $300 in mac a few years ago, including the studio fix foundation, primer [can’t remember the name but it had what looks like gltter in it], concealer, powder, blush and pigment eyeshadow. It all covered very well but it felt SUPER heavy. I always wear a full face of makeup, and I’ve never once thought it was heavy, but the make felt super heavy. I also couldn’t stand the smell of the studio fix foundation. So I’ve used each item only a few times, total waste of money for me.

I use their spf 15 studio fix fluid (foundation) and I second the PP who mentioned their mineralize skin finish natural powder, its AMAZING. I love the varying amount of finishes they have on their lipsticks..their primers are nice, however, I’ve found better for cheaper.
