@Stiletto13:  I have one, and I use it only if I’m traveling. Like you, I have a classic MacBook (late 2009 one I think? whatever the latest exterior model was) and I love it. It still works like a dream, and I like the keys and the color on the old MacBook better. However, I only use it when at home. If I am traveling I will use my MacBook Air. The MacBook Air is very very light and is easy to carry around. I have the 13 inch, but I would recommend getting the 11 inch, just because it’s more convenient to slip into a bag or something, and also much lighter weight in comparison I believe. If you don’t care about compromising screen size, it should be fine. I think you will definitely like it, if you’re looking for something small and thin and easy to carry around!

I LOVE mine.  It even fits in my handbag.  I use it for basic web browsing, word documents etc etc – no gaming or anything like that.  It has been fantastic.

@Stiletto13:  I like EVERYTHING about my Macbook Air.

Buy the Apple Care protection plan though – I love macs but every one I have ever had crashed JUST after the 1 year warranty was up (I don’t really care because I always back up.) and AppleCare replaced everything for free and the replacement macs always last me well over 2-3 years.

@Stiletto13:  I love mine.  I’ve had it for a few years and haven’t had any problems thus far and I’m pretty rough on it.

I LOVE mine. Lady at the mac store told me since the Air has no moving internal components (such as a disk drive), it has a longer life and will have fewer problems than any other mac.
