I’m doing the same thing! I spent quite awhile googling dance songs; there is quite alot of info online! Just search for things like, “dance music”.

I was thinking the seniors would be comfortable dancing to songs like: Tutti Fruitti – Little Richard and The Twist – Chubby Checker

And songs like: Land of 1000 Dances – Wilson Pickett, Play that Funky Music –  Wild Cherry, Brick House – The Commodores, should get people on their feet.

As for current radio hits, I can’t help you there. It’s sad, I’m 21 and the last mainstream music I was aware of was Back Street Boys haha! But I’m sure the rest of the bee’s will help ya out ๐Ÿ˜€

Good luck!

okay i don’t really have any suggestions off hands, but sometimes dj sites will have like, a ‘most requested’ list?

here’s the dj i’m considering – he’s got a top 200 list for dance, and then other topics (cake cutting, etc).

hopefully that’ll help some!
