Please help: I can’t figure out ANY way to remove my address from Macy’s or Target’s website so that the bridal shower gifts stop being sent to our house. It seems like if you order it online, there’s no option to send it to the person’s house and they wrap it and bring it to the shower. Although it is convenient for us, I really doubt this is what my guests intended to do. Does anyone know how to do this?

It is an option for the gifters to have it shipped to their house. People may have it sent to you so that it doesn’t need to be transported as much. More and more guests do it that way.

Hmmm okay I understand now. I still think one of them was a mistake though and they didn’t mean to send it to my house, but I will just make sure I let them know I received it at the shower. I feel like they should make that more clear at checkout.

I’ve purchased many gifts online and it’s always been clear who its going to. If the purchaser buys things online often, it probably wasnt a mistake. When I got married out of all the shower and wedding gifts we recieved, only one accidentally sent it to us instead of herself. Sue just contacted us to let us know our shower gift was coming to my house instead of hers. If they truly didn’t mean for it, I’m sure they will contact you when they don’t receive it when they should.

These days, I expect shower gifts to be shipped to their home. It seems so much more convenient than hauling them back and forth

I didn’t have a shower registry, but gifts that guests purchased from the wedding registry were shipped to our house. We received an email from the registry company a day or two after the wedding to select a delivery date so that all the gifts could be delivered at once.

It’s highly unlikely any of them were a mistake. It’s pretty clear when you’re choosing the shipping address. For my shower- I got a few presents shipped to us. Several were from people who couldn’t make it to the shower but one was from a new mom who basically just didn’t want to deal with lugging a dutch oven with her. lol

I’ve purchased many wedding shower gifts on these websites, as well as others, and it’s very clear who your gift is being shipped to. I highly doubt any of these were accidents.
