I’m sorry to hear about this! Everyone makes mistakes and we all usually learn from them! Perhaps you should seek legal counsel, also its best to be honest. Covering things up only leads to trouble later on. Im not sure if you were caught, but I hope everything works out justly.
I’m having some trouble understanding your writing, are you using a cellphone to post? Im not sure what a ” california crude tailed teacher ” and a few other words.

i think this would show up on a criminal background check. i know in california, when we hired teachers and had summer volunteers, we were required to take fingerprints and send them in. it was mainly to protect the students. (this was not a school but an afterschool program. our afterschool director had a masters in education.)
i’m sure you will also be asked about prior arrests and/or criminal convictions. you will have to answer yes and then explain. i no longer live in california but when i do background checks, if an arrest is for something unrelated to the job i will evaluate it on a case by case basis.
please tell us you are just distraught and that’s why there are so many typos and errors in your post because someone with just a year left of college with hopes of becoming a teacher should not have this many errors.

I know you are disqualified from working in the school districts if you’re convicted of a felony, so I would assume if it’s a misdemeanor you are not automatically disqualified, but it probably will affect hiring still.

Did you type this on an iPad? That’s what my typing looks like because of autocorrect when I use my ipad……
Anyway, I’m in the process of getting my teaching credential in California right now. I know they finger printed me to do a background check. I know a felony will get you in trouble, unsure what a misdemeanor would do. I tried to look it up but with no results. I would talk to a college counselor or a lawyer.
