oh man that stinks! most people knew about our wedding and the exact date time and place before we sent out our invites. My mistake i guess was not paying the second half of our hall bill.. we forgot andwe sent it like 3 weeks late and they didnt say anything thankgoodness, but they could’ve given it away!

good news is you were on top of things by sending them early so you still have time to fix this, no sweat, and if thats the worst thing that happens I would consider you one lucky bride!

@FreckledFox:  oh wow, that must have been scary! I just wrote all my deposit dates for the venue in my calendar for that reason, I was freaking out that I might have already missed it

@FreckledFox:  I got a call from our venue on the day payment was due. Apparently I was wrong about payment being due 2 weeks out, it was actually due 30 days before!

Eh, This is minor. Now you know you need to triple check everything 🙂

Oh no! At least you have plenty of time to correct it!

We decided to do STD via Facebook and email just to save on stationary cost and the fact that most of my guests are very aware of when it is….

So I started making the event and posted it out on FB…. LITTLE did I know that it defaulted to making the event public and my whole FB list was invited!!!!!!!!  That is not a bill I want to come up with pennies for!!

I cancelled the event after I noticed… I only noticed because people we were not inviting were RSVPing on the event!!!  After I cancelled my event… my parents were flooded with distant relatives and I was flooded from friends with questions if the wedding was still on!!

I feel your pain!!

I think you should put a sticker over that return address and just drop them back in the mail.  They’ll get there.

@shebang:  You cannot do this if it’s already postmarked.

OP, yeah, you cannot have return addresses on postcards. Machines read the card from the bottom up, looking for a zip code. Whichever zip code it finds first is where the card goes. I designed some “we’ve moved!” postcards for a local office, and could not print the entire new address on the card because of this.
