HD is good for photos. If you really want to test it, do half of your face in MAC (however you normally apply it) and half in MUFE HD (make sure to use a foundation brush and stipple the foundation on for the most photo-ready face), and see which side phptographs better.

That said, Smashbox is my go-to foundation. I get a better color match than MUFE.

MUFE photographs amazingly well. I didn’t understand the hype (other than the HD powder which I have bought separatelyand used for years) until I uploaded a picture. I probably won’t repurchase the foundation only because I usually use tinted moisturizer or BB cream.

Just make sure you don’t use the HD powder. When the camera flash hits it, it looks like this:

I love MAC and the MUFE HD foundation. However, my go to is Laura Mercier!

@leecy87:  Have you tried Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier? I think they both have excellent foundations. I also hear good things about Armani but I can never find it.

@Kimberley25:  I’m not sure if it happens this badly every time, but it’s an issue with MUF and possibly all HD powders. They’ll make you look great in person or on television, but the particles in the powder reflect the flash in such a way that you look like you’ve been dusted with flour. Which I assume no bride wants. I’ve seen quite a few pictures of celebrities on red carpets or at other events with this look. The only way to test the look is to take a flash photo of your face before you go out.

Big fan of MUFE here. The foundation colours are much better than MAC, IMO – MAC has always been far to yellow for me. I work in TV and all the makeup artists love MUFE.

I also swear by MUFE’s Cake Eyeliner, it’s so long-lasting and gives the best pigmentation/defined line. Their lashes and lash glue are great too.
