Needing some help on ceremony sites in Madison. We are planning a winter wedding which narrows down a lot of outdoor options.
I would LOVE to get married at the Capitol building but have not found a lot of information about it. (if anyone has any experience with this please let me know)
Our wedding will be very small and intimate 25 people max so i also dont need a huge space. I would love to find a place downtown to have the ceremony so that we could have the reception at a wonderful restaurant downtown.
I am also open to other options but would love to keep the decorating to a minimum.
My main issue is that i dont want to pay hundreds of dollars for a ceremony site that will only be used for 30 minutes.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

I am getting married in the Assembly Chamber in the State Capitol this May. Here is the website that I used to begin planning my wedding there:
The price for the Assembly Chamber is pretty high at $750 (plus a refundable ‘nother $750 deposit). However our wedding will have between 150-200 guests, and I bet you would be able to use a smaller room in the captol for less than that. Good luck!

What about Gates of Heaven? http://www.cityofmadison.com/parks/parks/reservableShelter.cfm?id=35
Mansion Hill Inn would be a beautiful place to have a winter ceremony and small reception: http://www.mansionhillinn.com/modules/web/index.php/id/1/MadisonHotel
When we were considering the Capitol, I just went in and got most of my questions answered at the info desk. There is also an office to speak to over the phone about events.

Maybe Bellini on E. Wash?

@KCKnd2: i looked at bellini but i believe their minimum was $4000 which is way too much for the amount of people we are having.
As of right now we are thinking of going with Johnny Delmonicos. Its delicious and just a short walk from the Capitol Building

@lightmist: Oh my God, I love Johnny Delmonico’s so much. Did you end up deciding on them?

@lightmist: That is going to be so delicious. I also love the ambiance there; it’s very wedding-esque.
