If you were a guest at an intimate 40 people engagement party, would you rather eat italian food at Maggiano’s or would you prefer Wildfire, which is a steakhouse.
I can’t decide. Has anyone gone to a private party at either place? What was your experience like if you have?

@Diamond84: Are you in Illinois? 🙂
I’ve been to them and they are both nice places with awesome food. You really can’t go wrong with either one. I have not been to private parties at either one though. I would PERSONALLY like Maggiano’s… but I love italian food. We are having deep dish pizza for our rehearsal dinner!

Maggiano’s probably has more afforable family style options. I think Wildfire is nicer overall though!

I went to Wildfire for my bachelorette party dinner and was considering Maggiano’s for our rehearsal dinner, so I can see your confusion! I think Maggiano’s would be better for a larger group, though, plus their food is SOOO good!

I’d love either one personally, but I know my vegetarian husband would strongly prefer Maggiano’s because they have options for him other than a salad!

I like Maggiano’s a lot. I agree with PPs too, there are more options for veggies.

I just had my rehearsal dinner for 27 people at Maggiano’s this past Friday. It was excellent, everyone was raving about both the food and the service. The catering event planner was a pleasure to work with and overall it was a great experience!
ETA: They also let us bring in our own wine (since my father is a wine snob) for a modest corkage fee!

I’ve been to a bridal shower at Maggiano’s and we had our rehearsal dinner at Wildfire. There are plenty of veggie options at Wildfire, FYI. They served everything family style at both places. I think if you’re trying to keep price down a bit, Maggiano’s may be slightly cheaper. But I’m a sucker for Wildfire and everyone loved it. We had about 50-60 people at our Rehearsal Dinner.
