I’m a 3/4 pant size and ordered a size 8 dress. It came in and was a little big, but I’m not too concerned. The seamstress told me she can take the dress in 6-8 sizes and maintain the integrity of the gown.

I bought the sample dress that they had which was 1 size too big but the seamstress said that it would be really easy to take it in.

I am between an 8-10 in regular size, and the sample i tried on was a 10 and fit me perfectly!! The consulltant said I should order a size up though (12) because the sample has been tried on so many times and stretched out, but I plan to lose weight so i just ordered the 10.

The sample of my Maggie dress was a 10 when I tried it on, but they had a similar Maggie gown in an 8 for me to try on to get the size right, and it fit like a glove. I’m normally a 6, so an 8 is bigger than my street size.

I was between the 4 and the 6. I went with the 6… And then lost more weight, so here’s to hoping it fits! I tried on the sample 6 in-store, and it was a little loose. I wish I had gone with the 4!

But if your hips are the only “off” measurement, you should be fine! I’m a Sabelle, too, and there’s plenty of wiggle room!

I’m usually a street size 6-8.  I ordered my dress in a 10.  It was waaaaay to big on the top but I sort of expected that because my chest is small.  It was a little bit on the hip as well and has to be taken in.  In retrospect, I think the 6 would have fit better and would not have needed as much alteration.  The salon was really pushing me to get the higher size.  Oh well.  More money to the salon.

Acutally oops my mistake.  I ordered an 8 (not a 10) and it was big.

I guess I am usually a 4-6 depending on the brand, maybe even an 8. I tried on the Mia (my dress) in a 8 which was too big, and the Adorae (same dress different top) in a 4 which fit like a glove. A little wiggling to get it up over the hips, so the sales girl suggested I order a 6, but when she measured me she said I fit right within the 4, so thats what I ordered. Fingers crossed I can get it on!

I tried on a sample Sabelle in a 10 it was a bit big tried another Maggie in an 8 and it fit like a glove.  The owner said order the 8 I was an inch bigger in the hips on the sizing chart for maggie but being a corset it should fit perfect.  So I ordered an 8 on Jan 25:)

I dont want to post steal, I did have a question for any Sabelle brides, are you wearing a hoop or petticoat under your dress to give the skirt a bit more shape??? To make the skirt look like it does on the maggie website.
