Madison!

I haven’t ordered it yet… I love the dress but I didn’t think it made me look as thin as some other dresses had. Do you think that’s just a matter of tightening the corset? They said it fit me perfectly, but maybe I’ll just squeeze my waist more to get more of an hour-glass shape.

Your Sabelle looks beautiful!

Yes, that’s me in the picture! (Pardon the lifeless hair.) I was wearing a 10 and they said that would probably be the size I ordered… this is what the corset looked like:

If I want it tighter around my waist will the corset look stupid/too closed up? I guess I could consider ordering an 8 but I’m nervous it wouldn’t be big enough, especially in the bust.

Other Maggie brides, keep posting your dresses!!

I’m a curvy size 14, plagued by huge hips and backside, so trying on wedding dresses made me nervous and self-conscious until I discovered Maggie Sottero!

Jessie – the photo doesn’t do it justice! We were not allowed to take photos, so this one had to be snuck. As such, I wasn’t ready, and stupidly covered up the beautful patch of detail at the right hip, and the photo didn’t catch the gorgeous bubble hem train! This is the dress I ordered, and I can’t wait till it comes in and I can take some better photos!!

Rehearsal Dinner1114 – the material was the softest satin EVER. I had been hesitant about satin because I thought it would be heavy, but this was lightweight and unbelievably soft. The top would have needed to be altered to fit me better. I liked it, but I felt like the V-neckline and straps emphasized my cleavage too much (for my wedding, I was more interested in minimizing my chest than having them be the focus!)

Here is a photo of me in the ‘Lori’ dress. It’s a sample, so it was both several sizes too big and several sizes too long. It also comes with a sash, which I removed because I didn’t like it.
