I’m not a 16 but my dress size was the same as what I would normally buy in clothes. Maggie dresses seem to be true to size!

@cheetah2b:  I am pear-shaped (huge hips/rear)… I wear a size 16 jeans, but I don’t know my street size dress size because I never wear dresses…

According to Maggie sizes, my waist and bust were both 14, and my hips were size 18. Since my dress is A-line and flows out below my waist, I went with a size 14 dress. And it fits almost perfectly!!

So I would check out Maggie’s sizing chart and check your measurements. This chart is very accurate, but I don’t know how it compares to street size dress sizes. 🙁

Here’s me in mine:

I just want to add that I usually wear an 8 in normal dresses and I was an 8 in the lace up and probably closer to a 10 in the zip/button ones.  Also, you could go somewhere and try on another maggie to get a better idea of sizing! Good luck!

You definitely need to get measured to see what size you will be. I am a street size 6-8 in everything but had to order the Maggie Jalissa dress in a 14 just to fit my chest while my hips measured at a 10. It really all depends on the style of dress as well. Can you try and find the same dress in a bridal store for you to try on?

Street size 16 (sometimes 14) and Maggie (corset style) size 16. Pretty close to true size for me!
