I’ve been shopping for a wedding dress for what seems like an eternity now, even though it’s only been just over a month. I would love to be one of those brides that just falls in love with her dress the minute she puts it on, but I always second guess myself! So tell me what you all think…
I am getting married in a church, though the dress does not need to exude “churchness”. The only thing that I really want is that “WOW” factor. I’ve liked many of the dresses I’ve tried on so far, but these are the ones that I have narrowed down to (so far).
The Verona, by Rivini. I love the A-line look, clean and elegant lines.
And the train is absolutely gorgeous
And the second dress is Shaylyn by Maggie Sottero. I had stayed away from anything lacy because I thought I wouldn’t like it, but when I put this on, it definitely changed that opinion.
Keep in mind that the Rivini was a sample dress, about 2 sizes too big for me, while the Maggie dress fit me like a glove. That’s why the Rivini doesn’t photograph as well, at least that’s what I keep telling myself. My other worry is that I don’t want to look too short (being 5’2″ and probably 2.5″ to 3″ heels)) in the Maggie dress after it’s hemmed to my height, especially since it’s more of a fit-to-flare type dress.
Let me know your thoughts, I would love to hear them!

The second dress wowed me! You have a great figure and I think the second dress shows it off!!!

I like the first one better because its simpler and maybe a little more elegant- and that seems to make you stand out a little more than in the lacy one. Or maybe it’s the light?

The 2nd dress is absolutely gorgeous. The 1st one looks great too but the 2nd one is breathtaking on you.

I love the second dress on you! It’s completely flattering. It also feels a little more special, you know? Beautiful!

I’m not a lace girl either, but boy is the lace dress WOW WOW stunning! 🙂 Pick that one!

You look great in both of them. The first dress is very pretty. But the second one is a “wow” dress!

I love the second one on you!

Oh my gosh, I don’t think this has ever happened to me before, but I seriously do not know which one I like better on you… they are both so amazing! I can’t vote!! I always can pick a favorite on other people, but you? You’ve got quite a tough decision to make! Sorry to be of absolutely NO help, lol!

Even though I am OBSESSED…OBSESSED with the back of the Rivini (I had bookmarked that dress myself, just for that incredible train!)…the front is a little plain. I am all for less-is-more, however, I just think it seems to be lacking something. The lace dress on you is really stunning, and very feminine, and I love the way it flatters your beautiful figure! I think I am a slight percentage more for the lace…but honestly, they are both wonderful choices. I know for myself, when I tried on a fit and flare in satin material vs lace material, I always felt slimmer in the lace. Something about the pattern breaks it up a bit. I don’t know if you feel the same, or if that matters to you since you look so great in both, but I thought I’d pass along my experience in case it comes in handy!! 🙂 Good luck on decision-making!! 🙂

I really like the train of the Rivini, but I love the entire look of the Maggie. The lace looks stunning on you. So although they’re both beautiful dresses, the lace dress is more of a total package to me and definitely has the wow factor.
