This is the dress I will be ordering. Consider yourself lucky. In my city, it’s 1700 plus 13% taxes. 🙂
I thought the same thing as you, no way I’d spend more than 500. Until I tried on REAL dresses. The fit is spectacular. The material and fabric is just flawless. Swarovski crystals…ughhh to die for LOL.
You can order a fake and it will look pretty close to the original, but it will definitely not have the same fit. If you’re slim enough, you might be able to pull it off.
Personally, I love the way Maggie dresses shape you up. 🙂 Looks amazing.

As a Maggie Sottero Authorized Retailer, I can assure you that you WILL NOT receive an identical dress from a knock off internet company!
I have been contacted just this moth by two brides who ordered over the internet from copy-cat vendors using Maggie Sottero copywrighted models shots. Being trusting 1st time customers, they thought they were getting the same dress for a fraction of the designer price. Of course they did not, and have wasted that much money because they’ll never get their money back from overseas. One bride is so disappointed because her wedding is very soon and she has no more funds for another dress, so she has no choice but to go ahead and wear the inferior gown on her wedding day. The second bride will order the gown of her dreams from my boutique.
Authorized retailers hear this story quite often. We realize the disappointment that the brides feel, and we also realize that if this trend continues, there is potential to loose the boutique experience! Remember that the designers have invested their hearts, souls and talents in their designs, and the boutiques have thousands of dollars invested in samples for the brides to see as well as the expense of employees, building, advertising, insurance, etc. After spending hours of employee time helping a bride to try on and select the gown of her dreams, the bride walks out, never to be seen again, until we hear that her internet copy-cat gown wasn’t what was expected! No wonder.
Don’t trust your once-in-a lifetime event to anything less than a trusted wedding professional and knowledgeable vendor! Always check to be sure that your retailer is listed on the designer web site as an Authorized Retailer.

I’ve order a dress online, my friend did as well, she was very satisfied with the one she ordered how ever i was not with mine. The quality really differs when you compare an authentic dress to a dress made in china sold at 1|3 of the original price. But like i said, it all depends on your expectation. If you have high standards of details and style, you will not be satisfied with a gown bought on the net. However, if you‘re more the type who doesnt pay alot of attention to detail (material, cristals, finition, etc.) , you‘ll maybe love the dresses. I’ll show you a picture of the dresse i purchased online. You may also check on the site http://www.lightinthebox.com many customers have posted pictures of their dresses.
I am not disappointed with my purchase since didnt spend a fortune (about 220$), i think it was worth taking a chance and i dont regret, i think im giving the dress to someone in need or giving it to a foundation to sell and make profit 🙂 There is always a way to make a good situation 😉
