@leanneinoz: When I saw this post I got SO excited because I just bought Beatrice a few days ago and I LOVE her!! I apologize the pics are not crystal clear as I took them from my phone during my fitting but I am in love with this dress! The train looks a little plain in my picture but in person the lace and beading trickle down beautifully and generously all the way down to the bottom of the train. I HIGHLY reccomend her! You will feel like a princess when you try it on! I know I did! Hope these help!

Thank you!! And to answer your question, no, I am not wearing a crinoline under my dress

but I did find it interesting that you were trying to choose between Ella Marie and Beatrice

because I really liked these two as well only I read reviews that Ella Marie has

a little less beading and a shorter train than Beatrice. I never tried on Ella Marie because I fell so in

love with Beatrice! But I will go ahead and say that Beatrice is not a lightweight dress by any means, but I personally didnt mind it because it wasnt uncomfortably heavy and the weight made it feel even more so like a grand, princess wedding gown! And Im sure it is harder to find these maggie dresses in Australia because I even had somewhat of a hard time finding Beatrice here in Atlanta in the U.S.! But I hope you are somehow able to get a hold of Beatrice so you can see her for yourself! Also, Im not sure if they would do this at any of the bridal shops near you but there were a couple of shops that told me they could order a sample size of a particular dress I wanted to try on but for a $30 fee. So maybe you could try that? I wish I could help more but if you have any more questions I’ll be happy to answer!

Im sorry to hear that Aussie brides have such a hard time getting these dresses! 🙁 But to answer your question they ordered me a size 4 and I chose ivory instead of the white white because Im having an evening candlelight wedding and figured ivory would be a little softer. The Beatrice im wearing in the pics i took are ivory. But I hope you find the dress you are looking for! Good Luck!

@bride2B91512:  thank you for the photos.. I am so lost between Beatrice and Tracey from MG.. I am not a big fan of the mermaid shape .. thats why i liked the classic look of Beatrice. However, Tracey is very rich in its material and I am wondering if Beatrice is too plain on the bottom or the pictures just dont do the material justice.. please help!! I am late in ordering my dress.. And I am getting too stressed about it, especially that I can not locate Beatrice.. Can anyone add more pictures from their fitting or wedding please?

I bought Beatrice the first day out and at the very fist store.  I have to say, being a little on the curvy side, I didn’t know that a girl like me could pull off a dress like that.  Fit n’ flare, or slim A-lines are perfect for the girl that loves the mermaid look, but would prefer to be able to climb a set of stairs, if needed, on the big day.  I purchased a trumpet petticoat to wear under mine to give a little more shape and keep the border from dragging.  (have to wear FLAT heels since my fiancee’ is only 5’9).  thought that the sash added exactly what the dress needed.  went with a cathedral-length lace border veil.  Will send more pictures when the final look is completed.

@leanneinoz:  I tried on may dresses and ended up falling head over heals for Maggie Sottero’s Beatrice. It has so much sparkle throughout the dress and a beautiful train. My only concern is when they measured me they ordered me a size zero so I really hope that it fits!

@FutureDoctor:  What length veil are you thinking will work well with the Beatrice?  I’m having a beach wedding with a formal reception after.  I’m not sure what will look the best, but stay on if it is windy!

Which dress did  you choose in the end, leanneinoz, as I’m having the same dilemna – although I have tried on Beatrice and did love it!
