I ordered my dress in the Ivory/Oyster and I absolutely love it! If you know you want it, I personally think it’s worth calling Maggie corporate over – especially since it’s $2k!

EDIT: I just realized that if they’ve already started making the dress then you may not be able to change it :-/ but ya never know! Good luck!!

i understand why you are upset. but just think, is it really a color you don’t want? i mean if you never looked on the website, you have been happy with ivory.

@ChantelleyLace: ack! well if you only ordered it on Monday, I think you should contact corporate and see about changing it. can’t believe the store never told you of the other color option >:0

@ChantelleyLace: I would try calling and see if you can get it changed, the worst thing they could say is no…which isnt really THAT bad because as Purple Unicorn said…your ordered and loved the colour of the orignal dress in the first place!

Good luck!

I agree with PP!  If you only ordered it Monday, they shouldn’t have started to make it yet.. It couldn’t hurt to try calling! 🙂

@ChantelleyLace: Just call them and see what tehy say. Can’t hurt right? I understand the feeling…I ordered ivory over pearl rose for my wedding…couldn’t just have ivory…althought it’s beautiful too. Vintage theme!

Dress Making– you ever wonder if they actually make them the week before they are shipped and all this lead time is just to make you feel like the money is worth it?  just a thought

@retreadbride:  i partially agree, my thought is that they DO make them a week before, but have so many to make that there is a long line up?

i mean if you can pay more for rush orders and get it sooner, what does that tell you? you’re paying to cut in line, lol.

they start making dresses pretty quickly. i got my Summer Royale in 3 months and i had several special “additions” to my order. Maybe if you can get a call in since its only been a week they can change it for you. Good Luck

Good luck! I see why you’re upset and frustrated so it’s definetly worth a try calling corporate.

Good luck!  I would call corporate and the bridal store.  Without being nasty, I would tell the bridal store that this is their fault, and there has to be something they can do for you.  If you can’t get your dress changed, maybe they will at least take some money off alterations or accessories or something to keep you happy.
