I tried on the ivory one today.  The store would not let me take a pic in the dress but it is very plain and simple looking.  The black lace makes it look nicer suprisingly.

This is my dress! I’ll post pics ๐Ÿ™‚ I tried the dress on in Ivory, and wound up purchasing it in Ivory. It’ll be here in March! I’m beyond excited. It was the perfect dress for me. I’ll be removing the sash, and I’m considering having the scoop neck altered into a sweetheart neckline. But we’ll see ๐Ÿ™‚

The front, with the sash:

The front without the sash:

The back:

And bodice detail:

The back with the sash (I’ll be removing the sash, but I know other brides might keep it, so I wanted to show the pretty, long bow you can make with it in the back):

For those who like this dress, but want a little more pizazz, definitely try on the Maggie Sottero Tiana. It was gorgeous too, just not for me ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for posting all those pictures of Corinne! This is my dress as well, but I was only able to try on the champagne and black version. It’s nice to see how much the details on the tulle still stand out in ivory. Mine is supposed to come in February! And I’m also thinking about modifying the neckline to make it more of a sweetheart!

Aw, I’m so glad you said something! I was regretting posting photos when no one responded and wondering how I could take them down (apparently not possible…thanks WeddingBee). It’s really hard to share pictures of your dress and put it out there when you’re scared some meanie will come along and say something hateful (or nothing at all!) and make you second-guess your expensive choice. But I am very pleased with the dress (after many-a-hyper-ventillating-moment), and can’t wait for it to be here. Let me know if you end up altering to a sweetheart – I’d love to see pictures! I think I will play it safe and keep it as a scoop neck, just so I don’t stress myself out anymore about anything to do with the wedding lol…I’ve never second-guessed my choices like this before…what is this wedding stress about?!

Yeah, the internet can be a scary place at times! As for the second-guessing…there is so much pressure for the wedding day to be just perfect that it becomes pretty difficult to trust in our decisions. The dress is gorgeous though, and you look gorgeous in it!

Are you thinking of going with the bird-cage veil? Right now, I am thinking of doing a very sheer fingertip-length veil, with my hair down and curled. I am torn between wanting to wear a veil (I mean, when else will I be allowed to wear one, haha), and not wanting to cover up the beautiful back of this dress!

@MissAusten:

Oh my gosh, we are so totally on the same page! I’ve definitely wanted a birdcage veil from day one, but I have the exact same thought as you – it’s my only chance EVER to wear a traditional veil. My best friend (the poor girl who has to put up with my endless indecision) offered a compromise. Why not wear a veil for the ceremony, then switch to the birdcage for pictures? I’m not entirely decided on that, but I love the idea of a veil for the ceremony (so he has something to lift up!!), a birdcage veil for pictures, and a feather fascinator for the reception…too extravagant? Lol, I want it all! Ultimately, I will likely settle on a birdcage veil for the ceremony and a fascinator for the reception.

For what its worth, I bought my dress a couple of months ago too!

Been having serious second thoughts as I really love REAL sparkle… and my pictures are sooo dark that it’s hard to see it… and I haven’t been back to try it on.  Thanks for posting yours!  It really does look cute without the belt too!  Maybe I will have mine taken off.  Do you have pictures of what i looked like after you had it altered to a sweetheart neckline?

Thanks

@zodiakclare: You look great, and the dress is very sparkly in person!! Also, I am surprised every time by how full and dramatic the bottom is ๐Ÿ™‚ I am having my belt taken off, but I will be wearing a black sash with a flower in its place. And while I planned to change the neckline to a sweetheart shape, at my first fitting, the seamstress told me it likely wouldn’t lay flat, and she didn’t want to cut into the neckline, because of how the fabric is draped or ruched there. She showed me a small, pinched sweetheart that would work, but I didn’t think it was enough of a difference to justify the cost of the alteration. So I am sticking with the scooped neckline!

SanJuanColorWeekend:  Thank you for posting pics of Corinne in Ivory! I just purchased the same dress also in ivory, (originally wanting blush or light pink) on a discontinued sale and it looked wonderful on me and was by far the best dress I have tried on (I only got 10 minutes or so in the dress), however, am worried about buyers remorse, because the bridal shop I visited was closing for the day (only a late time slot was available) and I didn’t get to try on any other fit and flare dresses from their huge sale wall. I was only given a few hours to think on it over night and I had to give an answer of yes or no before the next business day was up without getting to try the dress on again. So, under pressure, I said yes to getting the dress so as not to risk it being sold to someone else as it is the only one and I wouldn’t be able to return for a week to see if it was still there after the week long sale. So I just committed. (I am venting here, I have terrible anxiety) Did I make the right choice in commiting so soon to the dress knowing they would not allow me to change my mind? I’m worried I committed due to the sale, discontinued factor, and that it was the last one, if I later desided it was what I wanted there would have been no way to order it and a big risk of it being gone due to the big sale.
