Hi everyone! Not yet engaged, but my boyfriend and I are talking about getting married mid to late next year- we’ve practically planned the whole wedding so I decided to look up dresses and hollyyyy, I am in love with the Maggie Sottero Divina gown!! (in white or ivory).
It seems to a be a bit of a rarity in Brisbane- just wondering if any other Brisbane brides have been able to source this gown, and where from? Help- it’s my dream dress!

I’m not from Brisbane but just want to remind you to keep an open mind when dress shopping. I got my heart set on a Maggie dress before I was engaged as well, but then when I finally tried it on (after forcing myself to try on others) I didn’t like it as much as the Isadora dress. Sometimes dresses that we think will be stunning on us end up not so hot. Just make sure you try on a few styles along with that dream dress!

I live in Brissy too and could only find it at Astra Bridal in Auckland, NZ (It’s really expensive as are all US designers on this side of the world). I decided it is not my dress, but I don’t think I would have realised that without actually trying it on. I ended up getting a sort of similar silhouette from Roz La Kelin in Brisbane which fit me a lot better.
Their sample is a size 12 in ivory with a black sash, and another bonus is they have a ton of bustiers in store to try on, which I have yet to see at any bridal shops in Brisbane.
hope this helps, good luck!

If you can’t find a stockist near you, I’d advise you to try on some dresses that are similar to the divina to see if the shape suits you. Then, if you’re still convinced the divina is the dress for you, then you could try contacting bridalgown.net. They are based in the US and only sell authentic gowns but they do ship to Australia as I ordered my Demetrios dress from them and they shipped it to Perth for me. My dress was perfect and definitely authentic – and it was half the price compared to Australia. Only thing to keep in mind is to allow enough time fir the dress to arrive – the owner Julie is very helpful though and she can answer any questions you might have. Good luck!

I haven’t been in to the shop, but White Lily Couture on Park Road In Milton stocks Maggie Sottero gowns. You could always call to see of they have it.
