I’ve posted before that I bought my dress off Ebay from a bride who had to cancel her wedding (it was new with tags). I looked at the Maggie online sizing chart and my measurements matched up with the size of the dress.
The dress comes and it fits perfectly with the exception of the chest area. I’ve been working my hardest to lose a few inches and I’m getting closer. It dawned on me today to email the bride that sold it to me, and just ask if there were any alterations done/any special circumstances I should know of because the dress measurements are smaller than the Maggie size chart (maybe she had it taken in and didn’t list it as such).
This is her reply, “I actually ordered it to fit my measurements- that’s probably why the measurements aren’t exactly as listed on the chart you’re referring to.”
I’m going to let it go at this point – I don’t want a refund or anything (I really do LOVE the dress), but I’m curious if what she’s saying is true? I always thought you had to order the dress in the biggest measurement size and then have it altered to fit correctly. With Maggie dresses, does anyone know if you can send your measurements in and have it custom made?
Even if it’s a fake (wondering now if it is), I still absolutely love it and the beading and lace is gorgeous. This just has me wondering….
