@sera archie.  The beauty of most Maggie Sottero dresthat’s rue that they have a corset. That means you can gain or lose a few pounds and adjust the dress by tightening or loosening the corset.  it really depends how much weight you are taking about,…but if I had to make a recommendation and if the loss/gain is only one size, I would suggest getting the larger size.  That way you minimize the risk and you can tighten the corset should you lose weight.

@armsan

The light gold, navy and gray is an amazing combo. I found some color boards.

Try not to over think the color of the dress, you will make yourself crazy.. I did too.

The light gold is beautiful and goes with most anything.

Here ya go 🙂

@ocmacaroons:  sorry I only just saw this! Thank you! I have ordered a gown that will fit me “as is”…so if I happen to not lose anything it will be ok! But I am hoping to lose a little 🙂 fingers crossed it all works out!

Hi Ladies,

I am also now a very proud owner of Emma. Initially I had been undecided between 2 dresses demetrios 1421 which is also a stunning light gold dress and Emma. However when i went to a factory outlet, couldnt believe my luck Emma was there in the light gold and in my size and £400 cheaper. It is pure perfectction. The only thing is, i had to bring it home that day and cant stop peeking at it and i still have a year before i get to wear it.

Does anyone know what colour bridesmaids dresses they are having?

@juvar87:  mine is ivory so we’re going with yellow and grey as our colours. I think the gold would go well is blue or even maroon/burgandy/the colour I can’t remember the name of.

I had a total “Say Yes to the Dress” moment this morning when I tried this dress on. It was the first dress I pulled off the rack (I was at a sample sale) and the first one I tried on. I tried on several others, but I kept going back at Emma…and I didn’t want to take her off. I haven’t bought her yet–my wedding is September of 2014–but I know she’s the one. She’s STUNNING. And I’m totally going with the cap sleeves. I LOVED them. They totally completed the look.

Oh–and to any curvy brides out there–this dress looks AMAZING on curvy girls. I’m a very curvy street size 16 and even the sample gown (which was too small for me) made me look slender and beautiful. It’s such an amazing dress. I am so over the moon that I’ll get to wear it.

Hi Bees! I need some help.  I brought my Emma home the other day, still need to have alterations done.. but I noticed in the bottom of the garment bag a package with what I can only guess is a corset tie.  But the dress has one in it already. The one that is on the dress is anout half an inch in width, the extra one is 2x as wide.  I’m confused.  Does anyone know which is for the corset and what the extra one is for?

I haven’t decided on this dress yet, to be honest, but if i was to outline exactly what i wanted prior to fitting on dresses this would have ticked every box, however i tried another dress which i fell completely in love with so i’m torn between the two. The shop assistant placed this belt over the waist line and it completely made the dress for me…

There is alot of forgivness in this fabric as the sample i tried was a UK size 10 and i’m a uk size 12. (i have a slight little belly in the size 10 ) This is the ivory sample.

I am going to be a Maggie – Emma bride too. Ordered it about 3 weeks ago for my June weddding next year. Anyone tried the dress with a belt? I love the idea of a belt as I think it really helps sinch in the waist, but the shop I tried it on in didn’t have any sashes available. Pic’s please if anyone has any :0)

P.S. Is anyone else desperate to just keep going back to the shop and trying on their gown again and again??
