I’m desperately hoping you bees can help a girl out. I’m marrying my best friend in June. Yeah, I know, we all day that. But I’m LITERALLY marrying my best friend of 15 years, I finally gave in and decided to date him in 2013, after 2 nightmare marriages. I found THE DRESS. Tears and all. But it is out
of my price range. I so badly want perfection on this day. If anyone is getting rid of either style dress, or even something very similar, please let a girl know! Thank you in advance 💜

Congrats and beautiful dress! Have you tried 2nd hand sites like Tradsey and Poshmark? You can check out used wedding dress shops in your area. There’s also a classified section on this website (probably on the knot and other wedding websites, too.)
Good luck!

I literally just sold my Emma!
Preowned and Tradesy have several listings of Emma gowns and about half price or less….you just need to find your size. Good luck :+)

There is a whole range of sizes available online for sale! Do any of these fit you? (I know they aren’t all your Emma, but a good number are)

I wore the Maggie Sottero Emma gown. I was just wondering if you have tried on any of the gowns that you are interested in? I would recommend trying it on at a bridal shop first BEFORE purchasing one online.

bubblescomere : I tried both of them on and loved them. I’ve done the wedding thing before, so I knew that since I wanted something totally different than my last I had to try divergent 3 styles. Online I DROOLED over Maggie Sorento Phyllis, but it looked horrible on. Emma is my spirit dress.

bbee12 : Thank you for the link! I’ve been searching on there, but there were some listings I hadn’t seen. I’m a size 10 in the emma (I tried it on and it fit beautifully). And I prefer the gold, but would settle for ivory.

hard2handle : I totally understand the whole “spirit dress”. I knew from the moment I saw it on the Maggie Sottero site that it was for me. I pined over it for TWO years! I even thought about buying it BEFORE I was even engaged because I was afraid they would stop producing it by the time I got married. It is a very popular dress so you might be able to find one for a decent price online. Not sure what your budget is but Ebay and Tradesy had quite a few Emma’s for sale.

I’m even beginning to contemplate Britannia or lorie even, by maggie. Since Emma seems to be above my price range and the rebecca ingram is non existent used. They are both quite similar, correct?

Yes, those gowns are all very similiar and VERY pretty. Not sure what your price range is but MOST Maggie Sottero’s I’ve come across don’t sell for less than $600 used on the more popular sites. I was on a 1 year payment plan for my gown. You can call around to bridal shops and see if there are any floor models that might be within your price range if you’re dead set on a Maggie. I’ve known a few people that had AMAZING luck finding beautiful gowns at Thrift stores. Here is an online Bridal consignment shop too. Best of luck!

So, just to update, because I’m ridiculously excited, I found EMMA on craigslist for $200!!!!!!! She is being shipped Tuesday! Seller is on vacation until tomorrow but has been very helpful with tons of correspondence and detailed pictures. She added cap sleeves, which my seamstress can remove and it’s in ivory not gold. Bit that’s a sacrifice I can make. I’m over the moon happy.
