bkprettygirl:  No worries, it’s on my list too lol. I think it has SLIGHTLY less bling than the Esme.

Here are the pictures of today’s fitting… They placed the button in the wrong place I wanted it higher, just below the zip, they are changing this for me but it was perfect, really easy to bustle it up and it looks lovely from behind you wouldn’t know it was bustled (apart from the fact the button was put too low haha)

SummerTimeBride2014– thanks for sharing!! Did you have any alturations to the top? I am having mine taken in on the sides in addition to having it hemmed and bustled. It looks beautiful!

Yes only alterations I had was the bust at the side taken in and the button for bustles nothing else was needed as we managed to order a shorter dress from maggie… So exciting. Xx

SummerTimeBride2014– happy to hear that you had yours taken in and it still looks perfect!!

I have to be honest I am a little worried!! I am having mine taken in- probably about an inch on each side, I ordered it a size smaller then I am but I lost even more weight then I was expecting to. Anyway I am going home this weekend to attend a wedding and was supposed to have my second fitting but when I called to talk to my seamstress about setting up an exact time she let me know that the top would defiantly not be ready. She said that all of the un-beading was taking her much more time then she expected. So I really have no idea what kind of state it will be in when I see her this weekend. The next time I am home and will get to try it on will be 2 days before the wedding. I am not sure how i feel about this, it really makes me nervous. My hope is that since I told her that the ONLY weekend I will be in town is this coming weekend that she works her butt off on it and at least has the sides taken in if not re-beaded. Eeek most of the wedding has been smooth sailing but this whole dress thing is making me really nervous!!

Oh my goodness that really is terrible I would be going out of my mind, I couldn’t imagine how you must be feeling right now. you can’t tell that the beading has been moved on mine at all, I had at least an inch on each cup too, I am a (uk) size 8 normally but ordered a 6 and I am so glad I did because it would have been impossible to alter the dress anymore than I have I was lucky it was a perfect fit (although I lost 2 pounds to allow me to breath haha). My seamstress said it was a huge job to do the bust, just like yours has. I promise it will all be worth it, we really do have such a beautiful dress. I hope your dress is finished for you to try on this weekend. I look forward to seeing your photos soon!! x

Thank you 🙂 it was never a decision for me I saw it on pinterest and tracked it down contacting all maggie stockists! I went for ivory with gold, I liked the antique feel to it but I love the sparkle of the silver xx

Everyone looks beautiful in the dress :D.    I can’t wait to get mine!!  I love the bustle on top!  I’m definitly going to consider that.

Just wondering what everyone is doing for a bra – are you wearing one or do you think the corset is enough to hold the girls in place??

Also, jewlery!  Are you planning to wear a necklace?  I’m torn, since the dress has so much sparkle I’m not sure if I want to do a necklace or wear nothing.

mrsl2014:  I’m thinking of maybe just doing a bracelet.  My ears are not peirced so likely wont be wearing that.  I picked put a gorgeous brooch which I’m having turned into a fascinator for my hair.  I’m thinking that should be enough.
