Has anyone bought this dress?
My ebay claire pettibone knockoff was a disaster (well, that’s a little extreme. It’s just boring and cheap looking) so I went hunting at the bridal store for something off the rack and I fell IN LOVE with the Evita dress in light gold with pewter beading. gah! So amazing.
I really tried to not care about my wedding dress. But I care. I want to look luscious and feel amazing. The ebay dress did none of that.
I might have to resell the dress just to justify the purchase. It seems tragic to have to sell it though. I want to wear it to work. I want to wear it to dinner. I want to wear it to the gym. I love it.
Anyone else???

I’m had the same situation. I thought I couldn’t afford a Maggie dress, but I tried on the Vogue and fell IN LOVE with it! The bridal salon lets customers pay half when they order and the other half when the dress arrives. So I paid the first half off while I waited for the dress, and I’m paying the other half off before the wedding. Trust me, it’s worth the investment!
I haven’t decided if I’ll keep it or sell it to make some money back, but I have a feeling I won’t be able to part with it. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime splurge – enjoy it!

Hey Joyxsa…I too fell in LOVE with Maggie Sottero Evita dress!!! I LOVE mine too! Can’t wait to wear it in 3 months! When i went dress shopping, I was almost gonna settle on a one-shoulder Maggie Sottero gown just to “get it done”, I didn’t think I would have that OMG! This is THE DRESS moment, but then I tried on Evita, and the search was over! I also was debating on whether to sell it afterwards too, but deep down, I secretly want to keep it and try it on over and over well after my wedding’s come and gone! Maybe, I’ll keep it for my daughter if we have one??? LOL but I totally share your Evita obssession!

I actually tried on the Evita as ajoke with my bridesmaid as I thought it was ugly! When I walked out onto the box into the mirror I burst into tears because I love it so much! Was very unexpected! Now I can’t wear mine as my Fiance had a stroke and we have postponed our wedding for a few years… now we will have a beach wedding and Evita doesn’t suit and is just too heavy/hot! Such a shame, an amazing dress! I am now trying to sell it… 🙂 Sad to see it go.

I am wearing Evita for my April 2012 wedding! I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and there are no real bridal stores here, so I have had to do most of my searching online. After literally HOURS and HOURS of searching I finally found the one! I purchased it pre-loved by a bride who wore it to her wedding. LOVE it! Once I get to the seamstress for a proper fitting I will post pics.
