@lockha:I tried on the dress last weekend and the detail was amazing on it, it is SUCH a beautiful dress and your photos were some of the ones on this page that made me hunt down that dress!! It is your one day to be impractical, over-the-top and centre of attention…if you are happy in it then it doesn’t matter what anyone else says. They only see the dress, not how you feel in it!!! The lightness of the tulle and flowers on the skirt would defionitely work for outdoors – the bride photo on Maggie Sottero site shows her outside and it doesn’t look out of place ๐Ÿ™‚

@lockha: me me me!  well sorta, I’m having an outdoor reception but my ceremony is in a church (catholic), oh and did I mention that its in my hometown in Mexico and that its custom to walk from the church to the where the reception is – ah think goodness it is only a few blocks away…ha.

I will not deny that I felt that way too, I was thinking it was too much dress but I can’t imagine wearing something more fitted like a mermaid dress and/or too plain with no pizzazz.

Hey but this dress is very versitale, it goes with either outdoor rustic, vintage or an indoor more moder-nish venue, it doesnt matter….it fits anything, wil lnot look out of place at all. I love it!

By the way you guise, I had my first fitting yesterday but I’d rather post pictures once its all done, promise.

Dont worry, you’ll/we”ll look gorgeous! hehe

Hi Ladies,

WOW I am so excited I found this fan page!! I can’t believe I have found 2 other ladies not only wearing the same dress, but also getting wed on the same day! he he x

I fell in love with Isadora, the moment I set my eyes on her, on the Maggie website! Every dress (all 30+ I tried on) just couldn’t compare. So I paid to have the dress sent to a shop near to where I live. (It was 6 sizes too small but I still loved how it looked and felt on).

You all look amazing and I love it in all the colours. I get butterflies just thinking about the dress!!!

I am wearing a plain catherdral length 1 tier ivory veil and a 2 hoop 3 layer petticoat with a train (to show off all her detailed beauty) It also made me feel like a princess!

Hi ladies ๐Ÿ™‚

Just got a call from the bridal shop that my isadoras arrived yesterday, a month early!!  but they close sunday and monday for memorial day and i can’t wait to try it on =(:::::

I hope the isadora looks good on me. I also didn’t have the chance to try it on before buying it, so I’m a bit concern that i may have ordered a size too big for me. I ordered size 8 for both isadora and isadora ann, but i just took my measurements and i’m 38/28/40. i hope i’m not disappointed with the color either, my mom wouldn’t let me get Alabaster ivory, so we i got Dimond white. wish me luck! I’ll post pictures for both dresses when i get fitted on tuesday.

@AK_bride2011:  I sure hope the 8 isnt too big for you.  Maggie’s gown sizes are all super big on me for some reason.  I had to drive 300 miles to try on the only Isadora  that was smaller than a size 10, because it was just too hard for me to make a decision with a dress that swallowed me.  Ultimatly-even after driving 300 miles to try on a size 4, it still was too big on me, and just had WAY too much fabric.  I am 5’0, so I decided that the longer bodice on the Isadora that goes over the hips is just WRONG for my petite-ness (it makes my legs look even SHORTER-which I though was an impossible thing to be done)..but the Isadora proved me wrong.  I am trying on the Isadora Marie tonight though and I REALLY hope that I get THAT feeling from this dress.  I loved everything about the Isadora-proportionatly, it was just wrong for me.  By the way my measurments are 34-26-38

You guys!!!! I am in super panic mode! Went to my tailor to try on my Isadora friday and it looks/feels /is too short!. Ok so it touches the floor but hello I am 5’6″ (and thats with heels) but because the bodice is long, it makes me look like I have very very short legs! I am sick to my stomach. I am going with a friend this week to try it on again and will post pics, hopefully its all in my head but will appreciate honest opinions.

@nbelle

I bet it is just prewedding jitters and you look great in it! I know the feeling though! I felt a lot better about my dress choice after friends, family, and the brides of wedding bee gave me some reassurance. If you post pictures, I am certain many brides will be willing to give their opinions.

@SparkleShine: Yes but only the front was hemmed, the pictures I posted of the back are showing it bustled, forgot to take pictures of it loose.

I had my friend who is a tailor do the hem and she only charged me $60. Yesterday I went a different tailor to see about the bust, yes I had the same situation – huge gap!, cups and having it taken in at the sides will fix that problem.

Though doing that still does not leave me 100% happy with the bust, (see the front view, looks like Im flat chested), honestly I think that taking the boning off only the bust part will fix that but tailor said she couldnt do that – we’ll see about that, hehe. This tailor charged me another $100 but includes a 6 point bustle, bust fixed and a couple other minor things. I orginally had a french bustle but it gave me a bubble butt, ha.

Yes I am wearing a petticoat underneath. gasp! I didnt try on the dress without one, grrr. I plan to use the petticoat only for the ceremony then take it off. I agree a hoop petticoat is way puffy.

No offense, but seeing your pictures made me soooo glad I didn’t go through with purchasing this dress.  I was right about the fact that it would have made my legs look shorter after the skirt got hemmed because the bodice is so long.  I tried on the Isadora Marie and bought it last week.  It was everything I was looking for…I loved the detail on the Isadora, the cut was just way wrong for me.  I though because I have very wide hips that I needed something with a fit and flare cut-boy was I wrong-especially with how short I am.  The Isadora Marie had everything I loved about the Isadora on it, but BETTER!  All the great appliques, the scalloped lace edging, the gorgeous swarovski crystal belt, the satin rouching over the bust…I just love it! I HATED how the train was sooooo friggin long though on the Isadora and how big the bust was on me…but the Isadora Marie fixed both of those problems!  Heres the thread with both of the dresses on me…

Good luck!
