Hello Ladies,

Here are some pictures of my dresses. Both are a little big on me (size 8) so i’m having alterations done to make them smaller at the waist and bust. I ordered the isadora in white dimond and the isadora ann in ivory, but they are almost the same color which is great! because i really wanted Ivory.

@AK_bride2011: Wow that dress looks great on you…both of them actually.

All – the bridal shop where I bought my dress made me a hairpiece out of the strap that belonged to their sample Isadora, I’m picking it up some time this week. I will be selling it after my wedding. Soon as I get it I will post pictures, though its really the same as the strap without well the strap, lol.

Petite?

Hi all- so I’ve tried on Isadora at every salon I’ve gone to and I love it.  I was really close to ordering it but decided since my wedding is Sept 2012 I can try to get in better shape the next few months and see if that opens up my options before I decide on Isadora.

My main concern is my height- like others have mentioned at salons they prop you up and make you much taller which obviously totally helps how the dress looks.  I am 5’4″ and size 14.  The consultant at one salon mentioned I would probably be best off ordering the petite gown.  This worries me seeing as salons do not have petite available to try on so there is no way to really know how the proportions will look on me in petite.  Wondering if anyone has worn/tried on the dress in petite and has photos or comments on the proportions.  As a shorter bride with wider hips, I (like some other girls have worried) don’t want my legs to be stumpy looking or disproportionate with the long bodice.

The picture is me on the pedastal at the salon.  I am pretty spazzy so I definitely won’t be rocking any crazy high heals, maybe 3″ tops.

@tinarex: I am 5’1, and i ordered the petite length in size 10. The petite length is 5.5 and the regular i beleive is 5’10, the picture of me is with the petite on with 3.5 inch heels, and its still too long, so if u plan to have a heel any higher than 2 inches, go for the regular length if u want higher heels, and it didnt cost extra for the petite just less for the seamstrress to cut off, as they said this dress gets hem not from the bottom due to lace but gets taken off the bodice and shorteneed there, then put back in, ps i have hipsss as well

My dress came in today!! The hem length is perfect!! I am between 5’5″ and 5’6″ and am wearing 2″ heels and a crinoline! I ordered the petite length. I will post pictures once the salon has the right crinoline!

I would still really like to hear about what accessories everyone is wearing and what type of veil!

@SparkleShine:

This dress gives a body, unbeleivable!!! I wasnt too impresses on the hanger, my consultant made me try it because her daughter bought the same one and they are going to use the sleeve to make a head piece because she is not wearing a veil….. NOW… I always knew a wanted a cathedral veil even before I knew what dress I wanted and I tried the dress on the please her but I started realizing how the dress was more abot my curves and less about the dress itself and the elegance, the material well, going to the point…once she put the cathedral veil on I cried and she got goose bumps….even though she saw it already on her own daughter….. I def. think a cathedral veil is the way to go,,,,, dont walk down the isle withouth trying it on first…I didnt take pics, i went to buy the dress by myself since my mother passed years ago and my family doesnt live near.

I might use a 4 inch pumps covered in swarovsky crystals, but might have more shoe options since my feet tend to hurt easily.  About accesories, not sure…a bracelet, love them on brides and I am accesorizing my bouquet too so I might not get heavy jewlery.
