I’m going to start shopping for dresses in the last few months and I’ve spent a TON of time looking at dresses online. My first wedding dress was a big lacy poofy thing with a hoop skirt and long train, so needless to say I don’t want to repeat that. I’ve seen a lot of girls that are close to my size rocking Jenna and I LOVE IT…I just worry it might be too “over-the-top” for a second wedding dress. Can you tell I stress about this a lot?
Pictures, if you don’t know what it looks like: (this is NOT me or my pic, I wish I looked like that though)
IAcutally took this photo straight off the Bee, so apologies to whoevers pic this is 😉
I would probably wear it bustled the entire time, and without a crinoline so it wouldn’t be super poofy. I’m also not wearing a veil, just a flower hairpiece.

I’m an encore bride and I’m wearing the big gown. Do whatever you feel confident in and what makes you happy.

Go for it!!! Just ’cause it’s round 2 doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get what you want!
It’s kinda hilarious, I JUST posted about getting my dress (pics and all) and it’s Jenna 😛

I’m an encore bride too and I’m wearing a lace, chiffon, tulle confection of a dress with a very full skirt. If the dress makes you feel amazing, go for it!!

I too hesitated to even try on a big dress, just because I thought people would think it was ridiculous for an encore bride to wear a ballgown…but then I met Maggie Sottero Monalisa Royale 🙂 I put a poll on here, and got a lot of great comments on your encore status should never exclude you from the dress of your dreams. I now completely agree! Oh, and I tried on Jenna as well- didn’t love it on me but it is a beautiful dress, so congrats!

Encore brides are even wearing veils these days. Do what makes you happy. I’m sure anyone you love enough to want to have there with you on that day will be supportive no matter what.
