@kelseymadeline:

I am wearing Maggie Sottero’s Jovi on my wedding day!  I absolutely love my dress!  I was very pleasantly surprised by the price it was $1064.  I ordered my dress in August and it came in the first week of December.   They had the sample in ivory but I wanted white, so when I got the call that my dress was in I went to the shop to try it on and I loved it even more than I had remembered.  This is a picture of me in the sample dress, I haven’t put “my” dress pictures on the computer yet.

i know how you feel, i saw Jovi online and FELL IN LOVE!   i went to every Maggie carrying store in town and no one had the sample. they all kept telling me “i just sold it”!  i was very frustrated.  i kept trying on other dresses and not finding anything i liked as much i knew i would LOVE Jovi!  but in case i was wrong, i refused to order a dress without trying it on.  i was about ready to call stores out of town and drive somewhere to try it on but then i came across Maggie’s Jenna.  and i loved it! it was perfect. and in some ways its quite a similar fit to Jovi.  so you might to check it out if you cant Jovi.  or try on Jenna and order Jovi!  I don’t find the picture of Jenna on the website does it justice. you have to see it on real brides – i will post mine below.

I don’t have pictures of me in it, but my runner up dress was Jovi.  It was an absolutely gorgeous dress, but I ended up falling in love with Sottero & Midgley SSM5140, which was more “me.”  I would definitely recommend tracking Jovi down and trying it on!

And if you really really love it, buy it.  I bought mine in October and it came in at the beginning of January, and my wedding isn’t until March 2012.  I am so glad I did, because it is not on the website anymore, so I’m thinking they discontinued it.  I have not had one ounce of regret yet because I know that it’s the dress for me.

I’m going back to the store tomorrow with my bridesmaids to look for their dresses, and of course I’ll try it on again πŸ™‚

thank you!  yeah, it’s not easy.. at ALL.  I thought I was going to be able to wait a while before I jumped into the planning, but I failed.  I’ve booked a bunch of vendors, planned out my centerpieces, know what my cakes going to look like, and decided on tons of other details already.  I guess it’s good though, because when it comes down to crunch time I’ll have a lot of it out of the way and won’t be too stressed (i hope!) πŸ™‚

I might go with that dress! It is my favorite that I’ve tried on so far, although I am starting to lean towards more of those chiffony/tulle type dresses.  Anyway my wedding is June of 2012, and I’ve already begun dress shopping, and booked everything except the band, so I don’t think it’s too soon to begin planning, unless you are teh type to change your mind (I’m not, I’m still looking inot a dress I fell in love wtih 3 years ago in college lol). Besides, even though I thought I was early planning, my first choice dates, band, adn photographer were all taken!

Also I think that one will still be in bridal shops, it’s fairly popular. I was quoted something like 1300 for the dress.

it’s never too early to start planning!  I was engaged in August 2009 and had my whole wedding planned by early last year.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t book anything until January this year… notice how close my wedding date is to yours :):):)

congrats!  I’m in love with Maggie Sottero Miri, but am waiting for trunk shows since no one has it!
