I’ve always been a fan of this forum, and I finally decided to partake in this.
Well. I am in the military, and I am already married, however, my husband and I got married in a courtroom, with no on present. We are planning on having a bigger wedding to incorporate our family and friends, so of course, I am in the process of finding the perfect dress. My husband and I are very unconventional, so he is present whenever we go wedding dress shopping because I value his opinion.
We started looking at dresses a couple months ago, and from the start, we absolutely loved Maggie Sottero’s Kendra. I’ve tried it on two different times; the first time I tried it one, I wasn’t too fond of the way it looked on me. Being a little bigger, a lot of sample dresses don’t fit me the way I want them too, so when I tried Kendra on, I didn’t really like the way it look. My husband, on the other hand, absolutely loved it. Of course, I want to make my husband happy, so I kept it in mind and the next time we went shopping, I tried Kendra again. I really liked the way it looked the second time around, but I’m not 100% sure it looks right on me.
Also, I have no idea what color to pick!

I also liked the first time you tried it on! This dress looks really stunning on you. Were they the same color both times?

@pengoala: I believe it was Pearl the first time I tried it on. Then Diamond White the second time. And thank you!! I really liked this dress, and so did my husband. However, I still haven’t decided if this is THE ONE.

@megan.nair: This is MY DRESS!!! And I am the same size as you and I couldn’t be happier. I tried on so many dresses and even purchased two other dresses but I cam back to Kendra. It was the very first dress I tried on when I first got engaged but had the same feeling that you did, but I came back to it. I love it and I think you look AMAZING it in!! It flatters your figure and shows your curves. Rock it!

@renjon7798: Mine is in Alabster but I think you could pull off any color you choose

You look amazing! Personally, I’m a big fan of the color in the first picture – but that’s just because I don’t like bright whites. I think you could rock any color.

Dress looks great on you and once your dress comes in and it’s altered to your body its going to look amazzzzing! Not sure the exact name of this material but I’m going to call it satin for now … I don’t like white in this material, it just looks so fake … I prefer this material in a warmer tone like the first picture you posted.

@mrsotg: Pearl is not white at all, that photo is strangely lit. Maggie Sottero Pearl is more of a pinkish gray color almost. It is a really beautiful color especially if you want to avoid bright whites.
This is a beautiful dress and many of us bees considered it at one time, I know I did. To be honest I liked it but sounded like you…it just wasn’t THE dress. I hope you can decide (or have decided) one way or another but it really looks lovely on you.
I would recommend an in bewteen, what about the Alabaster? It is a richer color than say diamond white but not as pinkish as the Pearl.
