@DesiK:  Madison Marie was my dress! I’m not in NYC but if you have any questions about the dress I’d be happy to help 🙂

@DesiK:  Aw thanks!! I have worn my dress already and there are no snags on it, so I didnt have a problem with it…I even had photos in the forest and a sparkly bracelet and didnt get it caught on anything….

There was a time when I was obsessing and went to try a few more dresses on from a newer collection from Maggie and the ladies at the salon told me not to even look at them since the fabric on this dress was slightly different and they loved it so much more than the newer styles (I was wanting to try on Bianca)! I thought it was funny they were trying NOT to sell me another dress 🙂

The Kirstie was actually another one that I almost bought, since I did love it at the time, but I was going to cut the train off since it was so heavy and I also got married in summer here. But the Madison Marie isnt heavy satin, its more like charmesuse so it is more flowy/light and I didnt find it hot at all. I had a hoop skirt under it to give some more shape and it also kept the tulle off my legs which also makes it a bit cooler. All wedding dresses (except beach ones maybe) have some weight to them but this was nowhere near the Kirstie or some others I tried.

I have the Ivory, which has silver beading on it, and I also added 5 dozen swarovski crystals too. Some more detail photos:

@DesiK:  I am 5’6″ or so, closer to 5’9″ with the shoes I was wearing. I am short waisted myself – if you look where my waist is in the photo to how low the front embellishment is, it is definitely below my hips. I couldnt wear a natural waist dress or I looked really odd, and the real mermaid ones were also not that great (I am like the one person who did not really suit the Adorae dress it seems) so this proportion really balanced me out the best. Its technically a slim A-line I think is what they call it.
