Has anyone seen or worn the Madison Marie? All of the shops I have been to only carry the Madison, but I’d love to see the Madison Marie and the details of the beading/embellishments. I can’t bring myself to order it without seeing it… I love it in the pictures, but those can be deceiving on how “bling” it looks (which I don’t want).

my friend has tried both on. and we both agreed that the extra bling (basically bling brooches) did not worth the extra $200 (or $300, sorry, i forgot) that Madison Marie charges, because you can basically get bling brooches on your own and get the same effect. however, the bling did look very nice in person.

i’ve tried on both. i met the madison marie before i met the madison 🙂 loved both so much. and i ended up buying the madison marie. i also originally thought it was better to purchase the madison and then buy my own brooches/pins etc, but after a search in the los angeles fashion district, found it was too hard to find the perfect embellishments (at least in my vision) and the alterations to put any new embellishments on might cost just as much as having it already manufactured by maggie sottero…so up to you?
i loooove the dress, unfortunately i did not take pictures in the madison marie yet. it’s undergoing alterations right now…but if you’d like, i’ll get pictures to you asap. just pm me. 🙂
p.s. it’s not too much bling, it was just enough. BUT if you decide to do the madison instead, it’s simple elegance too!

The Madison Marie was the first dress I ever tried on, and I love it so much! I went to other shops and tried on at least a dozen other dresses but finally I just stopped pretending and bought it. I haven’t posted pictures yet, but I will.
I honestly didn’t know a Madison existed until I read this thread. 🙂 I still don’t know what one looks like, and I might have bought it to save some dough. This dress broke the bank for me. It was just over $1,000 with taxes. Amazingly it fit me perfectly so I don’t need any alterations. I’m short (5’4″ on a good day), so we got the 3″ shorter option. With heels it’s the perfect length.

If anyone happens to be selling a size 6/8 ivory madison or madison marie at least 5’8″ long, please let me know!

There’s an old classifieds ad on a size 6/8 madison marie in ivory that’s 5’8 here. Not sure if she’s already sold it though.
If it doesn’t work out, I’ll be selling my size 10 madison (in white) after my wedding in July! =)

@summer7911: It ended up being a bit shorter than 5’8″, so I am still on the lookout 🙂
