I just tried on dresses for my first time yesterday. I thought I had a particular style in mind, but of all the dresses I tried on I fell in love with the Maggie Sottero Miri dress. It took me by surprise because it wasn’t what I was looking for.
Does anyone have pictures to share of themselves in the dress? I think it is stunning and although I didn’t commit on the spot, I don’t think I will be able to find a dress I love more.
Is it normal to fall more in love with a dress different from what you always pictured yourself in? Help 🙂

I felt the same way! I originally wanted a fit and flare gown…. when I tried on the Miri it made me feel special. The top was very fitted which is great … I’m not one for ruffles but this was amazing! haha This was also my first fitting…last dress I tried on tho… I’m going to keep looking just bc there are two other dresses I really liked online that I have not seen/tried on yet… & I want to make sure but I really love the uniqueness of this gown!

How is everything going in your dress search? Are you still leaning towards the Miri or have you found/ordered something else?
Like you, I kept looking at other bridal stores. I love the Miri gown but I was not getting the gut feeling of “it’s the one” that everyone talks about. I was starting to think there was something wrong with me. Just when I was about to give up I stumbled across a gown online and found a local store that had it. Right when I tried it on I finally knew. It’s the Watters Austin gown and I just think it is so timeless and elegant – which is exactly the theme I am going for for my wedding.
Let me know how everything is going for you!

The exact same thing happened when my daughter tried the Miri on. She originally had a totally different style in mind but had seen it on line and just thought it would be a fun one to try on. Turned out to be “the one” because it is so figure flattering and she felt it would be fun to dance in. She could hardly keep herself from dancing when she was trying it on! It’s going to be an outdoor wedding and the ruffles will shimmer and float in the breeze. Good luck with your wedding!
