I’m not a huge fan of the pewter accents on white. But that’s just my opinion! Have you seen the dress in person? (either the all white or pewter)

link to save others from having to google like i just did…. http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=V7018T#

i like the pewter accents…. i guess because im a bit bored by the all white gown so i like something that stands out a bit more

can you try on the dress in both styles?

Cecullaton-

Thats my dress! I LOVE IT! And I actually ordered it with the Pewter, its not too bright or flashy or anything on the white. I think it really shows off the design in the dress, its the one I ended up trying on too. I saw pictures with just the white and it seemed like you could not see the beautiful design that was embroidered in it and just did not seem to do it justice! You should def let me know what you end up doing!! Let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck!

Oh, and I got the Monalisa Royale. the only difference between the Monalisa Royale and the Monalisa is the Material. The Monalisa is tafeta material, the MLR is satin. they lay a little different, can tell the difference obviously by looking at them as well.

I think it would look great with pewter accents instead of the white. I think it wouldn’t stand out as much with the white and there is so much going on that it wouldn’t look at nice with the white. You want the beautiful detail of the dress to stand out and I think the pewter would do that nicely.

I vote for the pewter accents.  My dress was ivory with silver accents, and the silver helped all the pretty design stand out perfectly– would’ve just faded in, with the white on white.

Hey cecullaton: great dress choice.  I’m a Maggie bride myself and decided on pewter accent because as everyone else has mentioned, the white just doesn’t have the same pop.

Yay! So glad this was all of help to you! I am so excited for you! If I can find my camera charger (LOL) then I could put my picture of my Monalisa Royale up!

I am a Maggie Monalisa Royale bride 🙂 I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and it won’t come in until end of March. I orginally saw this gown on the website but wasn’t too fond of it… but when you put it on… OMG so pretty! Congrats!!!

I think the pewter accents always add nice depth and detail to MS dresses.  I never really consider them a true ‘pewter’ and would never guess that’s what they were called.  I didn’t realize that half of the MS dresses I tried on with detail were with pewter.  It does not make the dress look darker, and I definitely think it will show up better in pictures!

Hi Everyone! I am in LOVE with the Monalisa Royale in white/pewter. Unfortunately, It’s way outside of my budget….if anyone would like to sell theirs let me know! I would need a size 4 or 6. My wedding is Sept, 24, 2011 if that helps! Thanks!!!

Hi all, I just want to let you brides know that I fell in love with this dress, however I HATED the heart shape, so I had this custom made…..in China. I sent them the pics, then my measurements (they provide you with a form to fill out of what measurements/points they need), I told them that I wanted boning in the dress, and a very full petticoat under.

Attached are the pictures from the wedding. The best part? they charged with shipping under $300!!!! You can’t go wrong especially if you order early enough! I’ll send you the link if anyone is interested and close up pics.
