@futuremrskelsey: Her gowns are gorgeous and can range from $600 to $1500 usually. For a more simple dress it will be at a lower price. You should check out her website. You might like her gowns Valerie, Shelby, Avalon or something like those since u want something more simple and A-line. Hunter is one of my favorites for more simple, you should look at that one too. http://www.maggiesottero.com

I liked her bc she looks expensive and really isn’t (in wedding dress terms). Plus, almost all of her dresses have corsets or inner corsets so they make you look awesome. 🙂

Maggie Sottero usually has a lot of options at every bridal store. So because there are more dresses to try on, people by them more I guess? Also, almost all of them have corset or CAN BE MADE INTO a corset back. She also has lots of colors to choose from. She’s also in the mid price range. Most dresses are 600-2000. I got mine for 850 and it usually sells for 1100. Also, Maggie has a lot of styles…modern and romantic. I have an all lace romantic dress that I totally love…and I love the fit in all of her dresses. Good luck!

I had a maggie and I loved the corset and the variety of a single style. Often if there is one thing you would tweak, maggie has a dress like that!

I haven’t gone shopping for a dress yet and the whole process seems overwhelming. With my personality I did not want to scour the  100’s of websites looking for “the dress” nor visit a dozen bridal shops. So I decided the best tactic would be to find one designer who had a range of styles that appealed to me and instantly MS fit the bill. Then to my surprise, I was so impressed with her price points and that the dresses look far more expensive than they are. So my mind is pretty much made it once I go shopping I’m sticking to MG and there one dress by another designer that I like as well.

I love Maggie Sottero dresses because every single one I’ve tried on has fit perfectly (those that were in my size, of course). The corsets are amazing! There are plenty of simple ones! Check out the website! There are tons to choose from!

I had a simpler Maggie was that was only $400. I went with her because a) on sale at the bridal salon and b) corset back. I’m a very busty girl, I’m tall, and I wear a size 8 so buying a regular dress meant i had to buy about a size 18, then trim it down to an 8 to fit me in the hips. So uh….yeah. Too many alteration costs and/or lots of chopping apart a pretty dress.

I bought a Sottero and Midgley (JSM 1106) for $800 and am absolutely in love with it.

When I was shopping, though, my price point was about $1000, and I found that every dress that I loved in my price point was a Maggie or Sottero and Midgley. I got to the point where I didn’t even want to try others on, mainly because I was determined to find a corset back with lace, and Maggie designs a huge selection of those. 🙂

I think Maggie is so popular because there’s a style for everyone. I tried on several of her dresses.. some were really plain and some were really detailed and intricate. It all depends on what you want. I think the price range is pretty good for the quality, too. They were way better than any dress I found at David’s Bridal. , They’re very well made and are really figure-flattering. Really, I didn’t try one on that I didn’t like, and I’m picky! I ended up with Vienna by Maggie Sottero, and I’m in love with my dress. 🙂

@CellaDee: Did you get your Maggie in the ABQ/SF area? I’m looking for one.

Hmmm.., maybe I should look into her too. I don’t know. Most of her dresses that I’ve seen have corset backs and I’m not a fan.
