bowlingallie1989 :  If there are any stores near you that carry Sottero and Midgley, they can order a sample of that dress for you to try on! It’s like a $45 shipping fee, but depending on how long the drive is that might be worth it lol

I would follow the sizing chart that Sottero provides. I’m a street size 16 and my dress was a 16. It fit like a glove. The dress shop wanted me to order a size 20, but according to the measurements on the chart, 16 was almost a perfect match. I’m so happy I didn’t listen to them!

Definitely try it on first! I had a Maggie Sottero dress for my wedding. When I ordered it we based it off the measurements given on the official Maggie Sottero size chart. Based on my measurements I was a size 0. When the dress came in it wouldn’t even zip halfway up my back. They ended up ordering me a new dress in size 4. It fit perfectly.

spilledmilk :  The opposite happened to me! I was an 8 according to the size chart (actually measured between a 6-8 in most areas). The 8 sample was REALLY tight so I insisted on ordering a 10. The salon acted like I was crazy for ordering a 10, to the point where I had to sign a waiver saying that I had ignored the measurements/their advice. I actually lost 5-7 lbs between ordering and receiving the dress, and the 10 fit like a glove. Thank goodness I didn’t get an 8.

I guess the moral of the story is you definitely have to try them on!
