Oh and AmberAustin, have you made any decisions on headpiece?!  I struggle with this as well.  I absolutley love the birdcage but am nervous that it may be too much:/ (I’m wearing a bolero over the dress for the ceremony as I’m getting married outdoors in winter).  If no bridcage, I won’t be wearing anything, veil is not for me.

@manda1231: I am so glad it did it! I knew I wanted a dress with little or no train but I fell in love with the Venecia. I was very nervous about it when I went to alterations for fittings but I am very happy with the way it turned out!

@manda1231: I think a birdcage with look amazing with the dress! If I had any kind of veil it would have been the birdcage.

Wow, ms.walter you look incredible!

Did your crinoline have a hoop. My seamstress is giving me stress and telling me I absolutely need a hoop do to the weight of the dress.

It makes me love the dress more and more everything I see it on a real bride.

I also found another bride, I think her dress is in ivory.

I bought my dress last week and tragically, I didn’t choose this dress! I chose the Chadley by Maggie Sottero.  After looking at the photographs from my appointment, I went back to the bridal shop just yesterday and told them I wasn’t leaving without the Venecia. Every picture I have seen of this dress has been on size 4-8, so I wanted to show how it looks on a 6′ size 14 frame. This sample dress is actually a 12, so it isn’t fitted for me, but it still looks beautiful and cinches in my waist. I am so happy that I chose this beautiful gown!

@lalaleah: Thanks! I am so happy with the way the train alteration turned out! I wore a mermaid crinoline under my dress. It was more than enough to give the dress some puff at the bottom without making it a big puffy ball gown. The dress is heavy (even with my shorten train) but the mermaid crinoline worked just fine for me!

@jeanettezuleger: OMG this dress is just so beautiful!! I love it. I got a sottero & Midgley gown for my wedding. But the Venecia is still on the radar! I may be a two dress bride!

Are you selling yours by any chance?!?!?!?
