Hello Lovely Bees!
I’m so excited, its OFFICIAL, I’m engaged! 🙂
On Saturday, Oct. 5th my finace picked me up to take me out, and surprised me by taking me to Oheka Castle, in Long Island. I was so thrilled, because I always wanted to go there! We pulled up to the drive, and it was just magical–The grounds, layout, statues, architectural details–I was in awe. After a romantic candlelit dinner, and toasting to love– we decided to explore the castle, and ended up in the library. My finance knows that I have an affinity for all things literary related, and old world–so we stayed in there for a bit. From the library there’s numerous sets of double doors that lead out onto the grounds and into the gardens, and my finance asked me if I’d like to take a walk. We wandered the pathways, and apple orchards–talking and holding hands, it was like a dream because all of this was under romantical moon light. There’s a beautiful fountain in the center of the garden, that’s lit up at night, so we walked over to it. I sat on the edge and my fiance kissed me on the forehead, took my hand and got down on one knee!! He told me how much he loves me, and how he would be honored if I would spend my life with him and be his wife, followed by “Will you marry me?” Yes, of course, yes! He took the ring out, and put in on my finger. I didn’t cry but I choked up–and we kissed and kissed! We stayed in the garden for a while, taking it all in, hugging and laughing together before going back into the library.
I still can’t believe how much thought and love went into his proposal. I’m so happy, and thrilled to finally be engaged to the love of my life–I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
