I would be TICKED! I’m sooo sorry that happened to you! We are having a somewhat simular situation with my Fiance best mans tux. We’ve been telling him to go get fitted since Janurary and he has yet to still do it and I keep getting the calls from Menswearhouse telling me that this guys time is running super short on getting his tux. So I’m waiting for the day that is it too late and my Fiance will be stuck without a best man.

Dont you just LOVE people who dont take you wedding seriously??????

Did you check the clearance section on DB’s website just in case?  Also, maybe call your local store and see if by chance they have a sample hanging around.

Will the Maid/Matron of Honor be in a different dress than the BMs? If so, than whats the big deal? no one will really care what the moh looks like anyways. and remember, no one cares about your wedding as much as you do.

I’m pretty laid back but I would be angry too. Ditto what hotchild said. I’d try calling DB and asking them if there’s others anywhere in the US – she might have to pay for shipping, but with a discount price it still might be reasonable. I’d look for it online too, used, some other seller, etc. Good luck! 🙂

Oh my that is pretty!! Hey can you find out your sissy’s size cuz I’m going to David’s tomorrow and I can check for you here. I don’t mind helping out.

Your welcome hun. I know how stressfull this is and when something like this happens when it could’ve been totally avoided, it gets under you skin and in these situations you need ppl to be supportive and offer some positives. I think some ppl miss the boat on that.

So anywho, if you can get her size, I will definitely check for you.

Sounds like she might have not liked the dress, didn’t want to tell you, and so avoided ordering it until it was too late. Meh. That sucks!

I’ve never bought anything from DB so I have a Q – do they operate the same as other large national chains? For example:

I went to Lord & Taylor to get a particular style of Jessica Simpson boots – they didn’t have any left in my size, in that color in the store near me, but she was able to look it up in her computer and told me about an L&T in Stamford, CT (about a 20m drive for me) that did have a pair left. She was even able to call ahead and tell them I was coming to get it.

I did the same thing with a BCBG dress I found on Nordstrom.com. They didn’t have any more in stock so I couldn’t order it online, but I called the 1-800 # and the operator found one for me that was in the Mall of America and she had it shipped to me.

Can they do something like that??

@Dancy: I was thinking the same thing.  You would think that might work.

DB typically doesn’t do that with discontinued items however, if you have a great consultant like mines (Judy – love her) she’ll do that for you.

I don’t need the style number girl, that dress is full of fabulous so I’ll know it when I see it. I’ll let you know if I find it. Fingers crossed!!
