- Wedding: September 2013
So I’ve never been the maid of honor in a wedding. Always a Flower Girl or JBM and every now and then a Bridesmaid or Best Man.
My best friend and I had a falling out about 4 years ago(we made up about 1 1/2 years ago when she got engaged) I’m trying to find the right way to convey how much I care for her and her Fiance and how I’m so glad we are at this point in our lives without being too chatty or talking about inappropriate things. I’m also hoping to be a little humorous although I realize most of the jabs and jokes are only funny to a few people.
I welcome ANY and ALL feedback. Thanks ladies!
My name is – I hold the coveted position of Maid of Honor and absolute best friend of the Bride. Words cannot describe how excited and blessed I feel to be celebrating this day with Brittney and Daniel.
Brittney, of course, looks absolutely stunning per usual. Daniel, well he certainly knows how to clean up nicely.
I feel incredibly lucky to have Brittney as my longest and best friend. Through 16 years of friendship we’ve shared bad hairstyles, vacations, Jujyfruit baseball, the infamous “is tuna in the can the same thing as tuna in the ocean” conversation, and more monster movies than I can count. No matter where we are in life we always come together and pick up as if nothing has changed; as if we’re still the same silly girls bumbling onto a softball field together.
I’m sure Danny never expected to gain someone like me in his life. I’m loud, chaotic, and I’m sure I’ve taken his lovely Bride away from him more times than he’d like. But he’s a good sport. He’s graciously endured more than his fair share of late night chat sessions and endless exclamations of “OH THAT’S SO STINKIN CUTE!”
Daniel be good to my girl. She’s tough on the outside but we all know she’s all mushy and sweet on the inside. Hold her when she is sad, rejoice in her accomplishments, and call her out when she is being a brat.
Love her always.
Brittney, my sister, my partner-in-crime, you’ve gained the love of a great man. Devote yourself to him fully. Tell him when he makes you mad but more importantly, tell him when he makes you happy. Help him achieve his goals and build a beautiful life with him.
Love him always.
Please raise your glasses to Brittney and Daniel. May the happiness you have tonight only be the start of a happy and wonderful life ahead.
