It’s a good idea, but might be a little heavy duty for a wedding?

To allay your mom’s concerns, you can always print out a sign, frame it display it right next to your box to let people know what it’s for.

We did this! It worked out so nicely. I tied ribbon around it to corrdinate with our colors and put a sign on it that said "mail" that coordinated with all our other stuff. http://s246.photobucket.com/albums/gg113/jeremyandbonnie/?action=view&current=856800592605_0_ALB.jpg Everyone loved and it helped keep all the cards together.

p.s. this isn’t the best picture. I can’t find the really good one of it but if you want it just pm me. Good luck!

I’m planning on doing something similar, only with a regular mailbox.  I think that way we’ll be able to put in a couple (maybe fake) cards at the beginning, so everyone will see them sitting there and know what it is for.  I really like the unique mailbox you’ve chosen!

I love this idea! And those mailboxes are beautiful! Perhaps you’ll need to make a sign to put next to the mailbox, but I think you should absolutely incorporate this into your big day!
