Most brides just get a few simple alterations (dress hemmed, taken in, etc..) here and there for their dresses to be ready on their big day. I would LOVE to see pictures of brides who had their dresses majorly altered, or had their dresses completely redesigned.
Before and After pictures PLEASEEE!!! 🙂

I had my dress trumpeted (from a fit-and-flare), had the bust darted, changed the neckline from straight across to a very soft sweatheart, had it taken in, and had it bustled. I didn’t touch the length as the dress was hallow to hem lace with princess seams. So there were significant alterations beyone just having it taken in, but I didn’t really fundamentally change the dress. I guess the biggest change would be the trumpeting since that brought in the sides along my thighs a bit and also scooped the back under my butt some to make me look a bit more like I have a butt (I don’t). I don’t have before pics that are that helpful, but here is what I’ve got. Oh, and I added a sash.
I wouldn’t have purchased a dress I’d want to have completely reconstructed/redesigned.
(in these two you can maybe see the soft sweatheart)
(here you can see where the dress flares under my butt; originally it would’ve flared from higher up (just sort of at the top of my butt)

@mrsSonthebeach: I love the scoop in the back. Really accentuates your curves nicely! Beautiful job on the dress!
