Hi totally awesome bees!
Recently I’ve had a big decor change thanks to a gift from dad (more details later!) and now I’m not sure what to do!
At first, all I wanted was an enchanted themed wedding. A whimsical fairytale garden with laterns, flowers, moss, and slight hints of glitter. The more I loved it though, the more I realized it was just too darn expensive! (I didn’t want to ask my parents to pay for anything, they’re already paying for the entire reception) Not to mention my location is a historic inn (Google: The Historic Summit Inn Resort), so I wasn’t sure it fit the venue. I let everyone talk me out of it.
The Vintage theme seemed easy, cheap, and very pretty plus it fit the site perfectly. So I started pinning things that worked with that idea (see my board here http://pinterest.com/onceuponatlme/wedding-bells-3/) I started to look for things like tea cups and white china, but we barely spent anything on decor.
Yesterday, my dad brought home a few lanterns he found on sale at Lowes. I mentioned to my mom how pretty they were and how they would make awesome centerpieces, but were still too expensive. Today he brought home 12 more of difference sizes, some more than 2 ft tall. I’m THRILLED! 🙂
So here I am, starting from scratch again, not sure what to do! I have enough lanterns for half the centerpieces. So I’m looking for ideas to jazz them up as well as another style of centerpiece to match it, but it still has to match the grand, historic building. Help!
P.S. Do you think the tall ones will work? They’ll definitely be a view obstruction, but they’re clear!
These are the different sizes/styles. Sorry it’s so big! And don’t mind the plant. lol
Here’s a close-up of the little one he brought home first.
